Kerry White
Owner/Guitar Teacher
Kerry began playing the Guitar at the age of 9 and has studied music at both college and university.
She has been lucky enough to perform at many venues across Leeds and Hull both as a solo artist and in a band.
Kerry has been teaching Guitar since 2018 and in 2020 she joined The Music Rooms team. In November 2022 Kerry became the new owner of TMR and has since then created a well-supported community of teachers and students who attend leassons on a weekly basis.
Brendan Donegan
Guitar Teacher
Brendan is a guitarist from London and a recent graduate of Leeds Conservatoire.
He has been obsessed with the Guitar since the age of 6 after hearing "Johnny B. Goode".
Brendan is a full-time musician doing all sorts of working from teaching to recording and playing gigs.
A current big project of Brendan's is being the musical director of pop-artist Holly Rofe based in Leeds.
Brendan has played in many venues across the country with some of his favourites being Piece Hall in Halifax and The Royal Albert Hall in London.

BILLY BURLS
Drum Teacher
Billy has been drumming since the age of 6, wth his musical journey beginning with a deep love for rock music.
He pursued formal education at Leeds Conservatoire and delved into various aspects of drums and percussion. Specialising in Congas.
Billy has played in many bands and is currently a member of the Reggae band State of Satta who have played at many venues and festivals across the UK.

Grace edison
Piano, Vocals, Saxophone and Clarinet Teacher
Grace has trained as an Actor Musician and Rose Budford and has worked in some of the UK's best theatres.
She has performed in shows such as Footloose and Assassins both in the UK and internationally.
Grace has previously won an award for Best Leading Female at the Great British Pantomime Awards for her role in Beauty and the Beast.
She is also a member of the New York Brass Band who have performed at Pixie Lott's wedding, Glastonbury and also made an appearance on TV for The Last Leg!

Lewis Buchan
Piano Teacher
Lewis was initiated into music at the age of 8. after spending 5 years in the junior department at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, he pursued classical piano.
With a deep foundation in music theory, Lewis' repertoire spans from Classical to Rock and Pop.
Earlier in his career he was a musical director for choirs and performances such as weddings.
Lewis has performed as a soloist at the Glasgow Royal Concert Hall and more recenly ventured into the cruise sector as a musical director overseeing guest acts such as X-Factor winners and band performances.

Sam Jones
Drum Teacher
Sam is a drum teacher with a passion for bringing out the best in new and upcoming drummers.
He has been playing drums for over 17 years and has a wealth of experience gigging professionally for over a decade.
Sam can teacher a wide spread of genres including Rock, Pop, Funk and more diverse genres such as Jazz.
He is currently studying at Leeds Conservatoire specialising in drums so expect a professional and sophistaicted approach as well as fun personliased lessons to cater to each student.

James Stradling
Guitar Teacher
James has been playing guitar for 40 years, playing both solo and in a range of bands.
He writes and publishes material with his brother and has played professionally for Everybody's Talking About Jamie and Footloose ant Weymouth Pavillion.
James is a post grade 8 guitarist and is currently working towards his diploma with ABRSM.

Simon graduated from Leeds College of Music in 2001 with a Bachelor of Performing Arts in Music and Composition.
He has taught piano privately since 2004.
Simon also regulary composes his own music and has sung in several choirs over the years including Selby Abbey and, as a child, York Minster.

Tabitha is a dynamic and versatile singer with over 22 years of experience in musical theatre, jazz and pop.
Trained in singing and piano, mainly surrounded in the world of musical theatre, she thrives on pushing creative boundaries while staying connected to the heart of every musical genre.
Tabitha creates a supportive and encouraging space for individuals to build confidence and discover their sound.
No matter where you are in your musical journey, she believes everyone has something special to share.
Simon Minay
Piano Teacher

Maggie studied music at the University of Cambridge and has been teaching piano, vocals and violin ever since.
Outside of teaching, she enjoys working on a variety of freelance music projects.
She's passionate about helping students find what inspires them - whether thats mastering classical technique, composing original pieces, improvising or exploring different musical styles, Maggie tailors each lesson to suit the students needs.

FINLAY SPOWART
Guitar Teacher
Fin is a guitarist from Hemingbrough and is going into his second year studying music performance and production at York College.
He has been obsessed with guitar ever since starting and often spends 6-7 hours a day playing!
Fin plays a variety of styles but pays particular attention to blues and enjoys studying the styles of plays such as Eric Clapton, Gary Moore and Joe Bonnomassa.
On top of playing and performing, he is very interested in studio engineering and mixing, recently recording in a studio for his end of year project.

KATIE WOOD
Vocal Teacher
Since graduating from The Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester, Katie continues to sing with professional musical groups in and around Yorkshire.
Teaching students from the age of 6 up to adults, Katie teaches students with a range of capabilities and prides herself on teaching a healthy vocal technique, to promote vocal stamina, range and strength.
Katie has experience teaching musical genres such as classical (including Italian, French and German), musical theatre, pop, folk and many more. Katie teaches both individual and small group sessions and has experience with teaching both privately and in school settings. Katie deputises as a Singing Tutor for Yorkshire Young Musicians and is currently teaching at a school based on the outskirts of York as their Peripatetic Singing Tutor.

George wen
Piano Teacher
Music has been a part of George’s life from a very young age.
After studying at the Tianjin Conservatory of Music for four years, he continued his studies at the University of York, where he completed his Master’s degree and further refined his musical and performance abilities.
Over the years, he has performed both as a soloist and as part of ensembles, and has been awarded prizes in international competitions, including the Franz Liszt International Youth Piano Competition and the Xiamen Music Season National Finals.
Alongside performing, George has built up over four years of teaching experience. He believes that music is a language, and that everyone has the natural ability to learn it.
He is passionate about inspiring students to discover their own love for music, and helps them express the emotions they feel deep inside through the piano, using creative and engaging teaching methods.
